Causeism

The Definition of Causeism

Causeism is a modern economic philosophy where profit, purpose, and people rise together—by embedding measurable social impact directly into the products, services, and transactions that drive the economy. In practice, it’s when a for-profit business creates a meaningful and sustainable partnership with a non-profit organization. Then every transaction made with the for-profit initiates a giveback to the non-profit.

In Causeism:

  • Doing good is built into the ecosystem.

  • Transparency replaces blind trust.

  • Every economic transaction solves real world problems.

EXAMPLES OF CAUSEISM

LOCAL EXAMPLE

Imagine a local pizza shop called Pizza Pizza. When ever a slice of pizza sold an additional slice of pizza is donated to an individual in need. Such a give back helps insure that no one goes hungry in that local neighborhood.

NATIONAL EXAMPLE

Imagine a pharmaceutical company contributing to a healthcare subsidy fund. Then every transaction that takes place within a designated area  serves those in need.

GLOBAL EXAMPLE

Imagine an artificial intelligence company that specializes in creating works of art while also contributing a percentage of gross revenue into a fund that supports human artists.

The Five Core Principles of Causeism

1. Consumer Empowerment

Consumers are empowered to support the cause of their choice with every purchase.

2. Business Empowerment

Businesses are empowered to choose the cause most meaningful to them.

3. Synergy

By working together, rather than working independently, consumers and businesses accelerate social impact and change.

4. Compassionate Profitability

Greater sustainable profitability comes as a result of combining the principle of compassion in the business plan.

5. Abundance Not Scarcity

Giving is added to the economic principle of supply and demand.

Supply + demand + giving = abundance.

Where Is Causeism Going?

Causeism is not a Trend.
It’s a New World Economy.

An economy where businesses profit, consumers drive, non-profits thrive, and communities flourish.
